The Matilda Company proudly presents the 2010 Madame Alexander doll collection. We are delighted to join the Alexander Doll Company as they celebrate their 87th year of creating dolls to delight new generations of children and doll lovers while honoring Madame Alexander's original vision and standards. From collectible masterpieces to play and baby dolls, the 2010 collection combines classic and contemporary characters with modern materials to create dolls that reflect the ultimate in beauty and design excellence. With texture, bold color and exquisite make-up, designer Jason Wu, creator of First Lady Michelle Obama's inaugural ball gown, gives Cissy a whole new look with a 50's flair.


Since Madame Alexander introduced her first Scarlett O'Hara in 1937, dolls based on the characters from Margaret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind have always bee the most beloved offerings, and this year is no exception. 21" Twelve Oaks Rhett Butler and Twelve Oaks Scarlett O'Hara are introduced along with the new Red Velvet Ball Gown and The Blue Portrait Dress Scarletts.


Madame Alexander Doll Company continues to celebrate the diversity of the world's cultures and colorful traditions with four new dolls in the International Collection: Brazil, Cuba, Philippines, and Greece.


Madame Alexander's legacy continues with the new History of Fashion dolls including: Duchess of Devonshire, Lucrezia Borgia, and Catherine the Great. Regal fashions are also recreated with the wives of King Henry VIII dolls based on the Showtime television series, The Tudors.


Dancing with Diamonds (costume originally designed by Bob Mackie in 1982) and Toy Soldier (designed by Vincente Minelli in 1933) join the Madame Alexander's Rockettes Collection featuring dolls dressed in authentic costumes from past Radio City Christmas Spectaculars.


Madame Alexander's 95th Anniversary tribute to Raggedy Ann and Andy includes a hand carved wooden Ann and a sweet Marcella Loves Raggedy Ann doll duo, "Celebrating 95 Years of Friendship".


Town Crier, Emerald City Townswoman and the wonderful Wizard of Oz are the newest additions to Madame Alexander's long list of Wizard of Oz characters. These small-scale likenesses of the movie's beloved characters have been equally cherished by generations of doll lovers.


Lovely ballerina dolls from Madame Alexander, based on the beloved ballets Don Quixote and Les Sylphides, help celebrate the 70th Anniversary of American Ballet Theatre.


Storyland dolls brings to life favorites from the printed pages of children's fairy tales and literature and include. New dolls for 2010 include Mad Hatter, Sleeping Beauty's fairies,The Frog Princess, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and The Mouse Takes the Cheese.


Angelina Ballerina loves to dance and makes her debut in a new collection of dolls and accessories based on the popular children's books by author Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig. Angelina Ballerina is designed to appeal to children of all ages.


Baby dolls and play dolls have always delighted the very young and this year is no exception with new baby Huggums, Pussycats, Victorias, and cloth dolls of every shape, size, and character including Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious, Eloise, and the Peanuts gang.


Madame Alexander's gift for creating beautiful dolls cannot be attributed solely to her celebrated costume designs, or the detailed painting and accessorizing each doll is noted for. The Alexander Doll Company is also renowned for its superior and distinctive face sculpts. The creation of each doll begins with its face, and each face sculpt is a work of art.
